Ben McEachen is a registered clinical psychologist who completed his training at the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago, graduating with a PhD and Diploma of Clinical Psychology.
Upon graduation, Ben worked for the Intellectual Disability Service (Southern DHB / Te Whatu Ora) in Dunedin before joining Ara Poutama Aotearoa (Department of Corrections) and moving to Invercargill in 2013.
Ben has been operating a small private practice since 2022. He has a broad range of professional interests, including risk assessment (particularly medico-legal assessments), supervision, neurodiversity (particularly autism spectrum and intellectual disability), and personality assessment.
He provides psychological services to adults in Invercargill and online across Aotearoa, focusing on practical, evidence-based care. Weekend appointments are available for individuals seeking clarity, balance, and improvements in functioning.
Ben also offers a limited number of appointments during weekday evenings for supervision only.
